Ping Peng Pong

選在平日傍晚到石二鍋, 心想五點多到應該不用候位. 不過我們還是等了將近一個半小時才用餐. 帶著飯帥和麵Q到旁邊的榮星花園玩, 跑跑跳跳, 時間一下子就過去了.

石二鍋 specialises in hot pots, owned by a very famous cartel of restaurants in Taiwan - Wow Prime.  Very popular among youngsters so the waiting time may be pretty long. 

開放式的廚房清潔明亮, 工作人員都很認真誒.

The open space kitchen is bright and clean. They all looked so focused at their stations.

一共點了雪花牛肉鍋, 上選豬肉鍋和櫻桃鴨肉鍋. 

We ordered beef, pork and duck hot pot. 

先送上檸檬冬瓜冰沙,  不會太甜, 好喝！

First arrival was the lemon wintermelon squash. Nice as it was not so sweet.

湯底選了石頭鍋. 有洋蔥丁加蒜末先爆香, 再倒入清爽的高湯. 就可以開始吃摟！ 重點是 - 湯頭沒有味精！！ 在外用餐的朋友不需要口渴了！ 大可放心享用石二鍋鮮甜的湯. 

The Chef added finely chopped onion and garilc as the base of the stock. Smooth, tasty and most importantly - no MSG...such a rare find in restaurants in Taiwan! 

擺盤美麗的配菜, 一共有18種. 優等的有花枝丸, 豬血糕, 甜不辣, 花椰菜和芋頭. 嫩豆腐上還烙了石二鍋的字樣. 標準的沾醬為微酸的日式和風醬加沙茶醬. 服務人員還會送上蔥花, 白蘿蔔泥, 生辣椒等讓我們自行加入沾醬. 蔬菜加上沾醬讓蔬菜變得更甜. 肉片沾了醬再裹上蔥花, 真是非常美味.

18 side dishes were plated. They even sealed 石二鍋 on the tofu. The dipping sauce was a combo of Japanese and Taiwanese flavour. It was tangy and mild. It went well with vegetables and meat slices.

接著現切的肉片登場 - 雪花牛肉

All meat was freshly cut on the spot when ordered. First was the beef. 

上選豬肉 - 很嫩

Followed by pork. Good quality of pork. Soft and tender.

櫻桃鴨肉 - 有嚼勁

Finally duck. It was bit chewy when cooked. Will go for beef or pork slices when visited next time.

餐點均付上飯, 冬粉或烏龍麵. 麵Ｑ吃了兩份的烏龍麵再加上半碗飯. 加點的豆皮. 大碗公讚不絕口, 還說比萬有全的豆皮好吃ㄟ！ 

All hot pots come with a choice of rice, thin green bean noodle or udon. Also ordered deep fried tofu. A big favourite. 

大家吃飽回家都坐不下去, 吃太撐了！我最讚賞的是不加味精但鮮美的高湯. 也是我將來想再來石二鍋的ㄧ大理由. 不得不佩服王品集團, 對食材的堅持及員工的訓練. 雖然在外排隊的客人十分多. 餐廳內也非常忙碌, 但是他們友善貼心地為每位客人服務, 不把辛苦寫在臉上, 佩服佩服.

It was a very filling dinner. The broth without MSG would be my biggest reason of revisiting 石二鍋 next time. A big thumb up to Wow Prime's staff as there were very tentative and friendly though the restaurant was packed throughout the evening.
