Sydney, Australia! 五年不見, 你好嗎? 下了飛機直達Chatswood的Sah的家(也是我的娘家), 生活機能十分方便的Chatswood越來越熱鬧瞜. 在飛機上睡覺睡得不穩, 更迫切的想要享受美食. 來到新上海吃麵食. 已經快下午1:30, 還是排了不少人. 對了, 因為在澳洲用午餐的時間通常都從下午1點開始. 生煎包的外皮酥脆, QQ的有彈性. 一咬下去肉汁就噴出來了! 外面再撒上黑芝麻真有畫龍點睛的效果. We took an overnight flight via my fav airport - Changi Airport, Singapore to Sydney Australia on a sunny day in summer. Clear blue sky and warm sun (ie. high UV) are the best welcoming kit that I can ask for. Took the cab to Chatswood where Sah resides in her university life. What a bachloretee life she is living with! Chatswood is conviently located with all the amenties. We went to New Shanghai striaght after we dropped off the luggages at Sah's place. I was totally forgotten that Australians tend to have lunch from 1pm (apart from noon in Taiwan) as New Shanghai was very packed when we arrived at 1:30pm. Pan Fried Pork Bun - got to be my favourite dish there. Crunchy outside made a good combination with juicy and tender pork inside. Black sesame also made the dish more aromatic.

煎餃 - 和生煎包一樣好吃, 底部脆脆的大餃子十分受大家歡迎. Pan Fried Dumpling - my number 2 of the day. Crunchy dumpling tasted as good as the pan fried pork bun.

揚州炒飯 - 油亮亮的炒飯是為飯帥而點的. 味道一般. Combination Fried Rice - hmm.. on the oily side. I think I can do a better job than this.

四代同堂的家庭聚會來到木柵, 木新路上的成家小館. 人多就可以點很多菜, 實在是太期待了! 菜單一打開見到至少有100道菜餚可以選擇. 今天就請地主小阿姨點菜吧! 光是小菜就有多樣選擇. This eatery is known for its Northeast Sour Cabbage and Pork Hot Pot since 1986. Besides hot pot, they also offer over 100 dishes from the menu. A variety of cold dishes for you to choose from.

青辣椒鑲肉 - 是小菜類中最好吃的一道. 青辣椒不辣,  豬肉碎咬起來不會柴, 很香很好吃. Green Pepper filled with Minced Pork - my favourite cold dish of the day. The mince was juicy yet the green pepper was not spicy. Great combination!

豆皮捲銀芽 - 彈牙的豆皮包著脆脆的豆芽菜, 清淡爽口, 一下子就盤底朝天了. Fried Tofu Skin wrapped with Bean Sprouts - a tasty cold dish that is crunchy and chewy.

KGB 代表 Kiwi Gourmet Burgers, 是以來自紐西蘭的老闆作為賣點. 位於師大商圈, 十分熱鬧. 用餐當天是週末的晚餐, 不到六點鐘就坐滿了. 點好餐後心裡滿是期望. KGB 經典漢堡 ($240) - 牛肉漢堡肉餡煎的適中, 不算太老. 加了培根, 卻讓漢堡的口感變硬了. 加了些許切碎的香草麵包, 吃起來有一點香味. 不過整體來說它的味道一般, 沒有令人驚喜的感覺, 除了漢堡, 可以選擇薯條或者沙拉作為配菜. 這兒的薯條像是超市賣的冷凍薯條, 就算是剛炸好, 還是吃起來鬆鬆的. 另我跟大碗公失望. 還是我先前推薦過, 位於東區微風廣場的Burger 1885值得去. KGB stands for Kiwi Gourmet Burgers, situated in a small alley around National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) or 'Shi Da'. This popular eatery was full just before 6 pm on a Saturday evening. KGB offers over 15 kinds of burger. The KGB Classic - beef patty was tender and juicy. However, the rest of the burger was just average. Another disappointment was their fries - tasted like frozen food from supermarkets. Burger 1885's (near Breeze Centre) burgers and fries are way better than KGB's.

BBQ 漢堡加起司與培根 ($220) - 內含物跟經典漢堡一樣, 只是多了BBQ醬, 可惜BBQ醬的量過多, 味道太重, 蓋過其他的食材. BBQ Burger with Cheddar Cheese and Bacon - Pity that the overpowering BBQ sauce has taken over the taste of the rest of the ingredients.

平成十九於2007年開張, 招牌上印著 'Sakana Ryori' 魚料理, 菜單上一半是生食, 一半是熟食, 大部份都以魚料理為主. 平成十九內的燈光暗暗的, 好像是日本的小酒館. 點餐的方式很有趣, 就像在日本常見的拉麵店一樣. 選好餐後, 到門旁邊的販賣機按下要點的餐, 再投入錢, 就會吐出一張收據. 把收據交給服務生, 就可以瞜! 蔥花鮪魚丼 ($180) - 招牌人氣之一的蔥花鮪魚丼非常好吃. 服務生說鮪魚是廚師當天一早處理的, 所以完全沒有腥味. 大碗公邊吃邊點頭. 下次來或許要試試加大版. This Japanese eatery opened its door since 2007. It's conveniently located near Zhongshan Metro Station (exit 1). Known for its fish dishes covering sashimi donburi and grilled fish. A very interesting way to order your food - order the dishes using a vending maching by the door. Insert the money and pass the receipt to waiter/waitress once it's paid...just like what you can find in lots of ramen places in Japan! Negitoro - freshly prepared negitoro was so tasty that I wanted a second serve. Steps on how to serve the food: 1. mix wasabi with soy sauce in a small plate. 2. Pour the mixed soy sauce with wasabi over negitoro. 3. Mix egg yolk and toro with the sauce. 4. Be reminded not to mix with steam rice at the bottom as it would ruin the sweetness of toro.

刺身丼 ($190) - 一共有五種海鮮的刺身丼均非常新鮮. 鐵牛嫂說跟'築地鮮魚'旗鼓相當! Maguro, Saamon, Hamachi, Tai, Ika - fresh seafood means all.

歐林鐵板燒在中壢的中原大學附近, 對面即是普仁派出所. 在中壢已經有很長的時間了.  記得小時候就看到它在現址屹立不搖. 歐林鐵板燒的裝潢一般, 價格是走親民的路線, 不過口味不馬呼. 每道菜都有牛油的香味, 加上特製的醬汁, 最適合愛吃重口味的朋友了. 今兒個來到歐林鐵板燒不到中午12點, 但是已經坐滿了. 點一份主餐即贈送炒青菜, 炒豆芽, 以及無限食用的白飯, 湯以及飲料. 一不節制就會吃太撐. 麵Q及飯帥當天各吃了2碗飯. 黑胡椒牛肉 ($120) - 牛肉薄片快速翻炒, 加上牛油, 使得牛肉吃起來嫩嫩的. 非常下飯. This teppanyaki eatery has been up and running in Chungli City near Chung Yuan Christian University since I was young. You can even get take-aways from this eatery. The deco is not fancy at all and the price is very reasonable. Though the chefs are still attentive to its flavour and sauce. Most of the dishes come with buttery smell. All main dish comes with a stir fried vege, a stir fired bean sprout and free flow of rice, soup and drinks. Beef with Black Pepper Sauce - Buttery beef with sliced onions definitely made up a good companion with rice.

香味豬肉 - 豬肉薄片加上洋蔥跟青蔥, 濃濃的牛油香, 很下飯. Teppanyaki Pork - another great dish that goes well with rice.

勺勺客主打陝西菜, 大漠料理. 雖然我沒有去過陝西, 更沒有到過大漠, 所以無法評論勺勺客的料理是否道地, 但是它就是合我們的味兒, 真的很好吃! 勺勺客有許多熱炒類的菜餚, 適合一大群人去吃. 可惜這次只有一家人2大2小, 所以我們都點麵點. 下次一定要招三五好友去試試它的熱炒. 雙紅拉麵($160) - 牛骨湯底加上酸~酸~酸的醋味, 光喝湯就很讚! 牛肉燉的軟嫩, 入口即化, 非常優歐! Handmade Noodles Soup served with Beef and Duck's blood parcel - the broth was originated from beef bones, together with strong vinegar flavour. I loved the soup by its own! The beef was very tender that melted in my mouth.

酸湯餃($160) 跟雙紅拉麵一樣的湯頭, 鴨血配上十顆水餃, 餃子皮彈牙, 內餡是碎豬肉加青江菜, 不柴, 非常好吃. Dumpling in Beef and Duck's blood parcel Soup - the dumpling's filling was made of minced pork and minced Chinese vegetable which was moist and tasty.

好友珍珠兔推薦的183 Live Pasta從東區分家後搬到基隆路二段, 好口味依然不變. 菜單的選擇豐富, A組合附湯及飲料. B組合附湯, 麵包, 沙拉, 甜點及飲料. 算是好吃, 價錢又親民的一間小店. 以下的價錢均是以A套餐為準, B組合要多加$90. 單點的薯條 ($80) - 炸的香脆, 相當受大小朋友喜愛. 用超大咖啡杯裝盤, 十分可愛. We visited 183 Live Pasta after our grass sledge avtivity on a sunny Sunday noon. We were starving yet 183 Live Pasta's dishes didn't dissapoint us at all. You can order Set A which comes with soup and drink. Set B (with an additional of $90) comes with soup, toasted bread, salad, dessert and drink. All prices quoted below refer to Set A. French Fries (or Chips) - light and crunchy which was popular among all.

玉米濃湯 - 香濃的玉米濃湯, 加了雞肉絲, 紅蘿蔔丁, 真的很好喝! 大家一定要試試! Corn Soup - thinly sliced Chicken with carrot cubes were added into the soup. It was thick and aromatic which was my favourite of the day.

蔬菜雞肉湯 - 中式口味的清湯, 味道清淡. Chicken Vegetable Soup - a very healthy and light choice if you find Corn Soup on the heavy side.

為了慶祝超級大好友河馬小姐的生日, 大夥兒聚在中壢市的EST義斯特義大利餐館. EST除了pasta, 還有risotto(燉飯)及排餐, 選擇挺多樣化. 點一份主餐再加$80即可升級為套餐, 包含了前菜, 麵包, 湯品, 沙拉, 甜點及飲料. 可以說是物超所值. 今兒的前菜是雞肉煎蛋和杏齙菇冷盤. 最驚奇的就是雞肉煎蛋旁, 紫色的甜菜根(beetroot), 以前住在Sydney時常常吃. 難得在台灣見到, 真特別. 它的甜菜根比Journey Kaffe的好吃. To celebrate my super buddy Missy Hippo's birthday, we gathered at the middle point - Chungli City's (in Taoyuan County) EST Italian Restaurant on a sunny Saturday. EST was established 6 years ago and I am not surprise why it is still up and running in Chungli City. The menu offers pasta, risotto, meat (steak and chicken) and seafood. With addtional $80, you can upgrade the main to set meal which comes with entree, bread, soup, salad, dessert and drink. It's good value for money and a great location for gathering with families and friends. The entree was pan fried chicken with egg and mushroom in garlic dressing. Highlight of the dish was the long lost beetroot. I had it a lot when I was in Sydney. It was more tasty than the one I had at Journey Kaffe.

剛加熱的麵包配上牛油 (純牛油或是碎培根牛油)真香真好吃. 飯帥吃了2個! Oven toasted bread with 2 types of butter - plain and bacon crunch. Yum!

波菜濃湯 - 賣相不錯, 麵Q很愛喝, 自己的喝完還喝程程弟的. 不過我不愛波菜, 所以沒有嘗試. Spinach Creamed Soup - great presentation. I am unable to comment on its taste as I am not a spinach fan.

南京東路五段巷內有一家開了三十多年的陳家涼麵, 而且是24小時營業(週日休). 決定在週六早上去朝聖, 看看它為何能出現在各大旅遊書. 涼麵有大($50)及小($40)兩種選擇. 不過大和小的份量差不多. 涼麵的麵條細細地, 沒有鹼粉的味道, 醬汁是淡淡的醬油, 大蒜, 醋及芝麻醬. 吃起來順口, 一下子就可以吃完它. This 24/7 (close on Sundays), cold noodle eatery is located in Nan Jin East Road for over 30 years. Decided to pay a visit on a sunny Saturday morning to see why it has been showing up on numerous travel guidebooks. The cold noodle comes in two portion - large ($50) and small ($40). I don't really see the size difference between the two though. The noodle itself is thin and chewy. Light soy sauce together with garlic, vinegar and sesame sauce marks its simple but easy to eat dish.

 味噌湯 - 十分台式的味噌湯, 甜甜的湯頭, 有些許的豆腐及蔥花. 我還是喜歡日本傳統的味噌湯. Miso Soup - very Taiwanese miso soup as the soup tasted sweet. Small portion of tofu and chopped spring onions were added into the soup. Not my type as I prefer the Japanese style of miso soup.

曾經去過位於誠品信義店的FiFi茶酒沙龍, 非常喜歡它的菜, 決定再試試位於仁愛路復興路口的FiFi茶酒沙龍-常玉廳. 這回才知道FiFi茶酒沙龍是由知名的台灣服裝設計師溫慶珠開的. 餐廳內的佈置帶有濃郁的復古雅緻的中國風, 很有風格, 食物可口, 餐廳的佈置也賞心悅目歐! 鹹蛋黃脆花枝 - 新鮮的花枝外裹上薄薄的鹹蛋黃醬再油炸, 花枝吃起來一點也不老, 非常美味. Fi Fi Tea House Lounge is owned by well known Taiwanese Fashion designer Isabelle Wen. It has two outlets in Taipei. One in Eslite Bookshop in ShinYi District, the other one is at the corner of Ren Ai Road and Fu Xian Road. We visited that latter one on a raining evening and I loved their deco and food very much. Fried Squid with Salty Egg Yolk - Fresh squid coated with light batter of salty egg yolk was my favourite dish of the night. It was not chewy nor oily.

上海小排骨 - 看起來跟其它餐廳沒有差別, 但是一入口大家連聲說'肉怎麼這麼嫩'!醬汁微微甜, 非常下飯! 下回來還要點! Pork Ribs Shanghai Style - It was another highlight of the night. The pork ribs were tender and soft. Lightly sweetened sauce with sesame on the top was a great combination.

金沙蝦仁 - 跟鹹蛋黃脆花枝雷同, 蝦仁外裹上鹹蛋黃入鍋油炸, 不油不膩, 大人小孩都愛吃. Shrimp with Salted Egg - similar to fried squid with salty egg yolk, this dish was aromatic and tender. Suitable for both kids and adults.
